Madrid: Spring top plans!

Spring is a spectacular period to visit Madrid and enjoy the essence of this city so rich in history, traditions and things to do. When spring arrives and temperatures rise, the locals go out to spend some time outdoor to enjoy the city and its many parks, doing sports or relax sunbathing with a cold “caña” and some friends. Madrid in spring is an explosion of life and colors.

As they say here, “every season has its charm” and spring has charm to rage so I’ll give you some tips on some activities that this beautiful city has to offer, do you want to miss it?

Madrid and its tapas

In spring is usual to enjoy the good weather eating outdoor savoring a typical Spanish tapa accompanied by a glass of refreshing sangria. Thus, you will discover the virtues and beauty of this land, the traditions, smells, tastes, customs and the warmth of the people, because “tapear” fed, makes you happy, and helps to relate to people. In the center of Madrid you can find many tapas bars. We recommend you a few:

"Tapear" with some friends in Madrid is an
unforgettable experience
Right next to the Metro stop Sol there's a small place that you should visit called Malaspina. Good food and good typical Spanish atmosphere, but don’t trust to the name because it won’t give you “bad feelings” but only good food (Calle de Cádiz, center).

Near La Latina there's a very typical tavern with an excellent quality/price ratio, the Taberna la Concha. It's a modest place, but the food is very good and cheap. I love it! It's located on Calle Cava Baja, the street of a thousand bars, so after dinner you can enjoy the Madrid nightlife (Cava Baja 7, center).
If you prefer a good meal of fish or grilled meat, check the Venta el Buscón! A great and very typical place to start the night! (Calle Victoria 5, center).

Theme parks in Madrid

Do you like strong emotions? Well, there are two amazing themes parks in Madrid!
parque warner
Rio Bravo
Parque Warner, Madrid
The Warner Park of Madrid is the funniest theme park in Europe. You can buy your tickets online for €25,90 at least 7 days before and the second day will be free. The park is open from March 22nd to September 28th and closes on some Sundays. You can get there taking the “La Veloz” 412 bus at Villaverde Bajo exchanger. It will take you straight to the door of Warner Park.
parque de atracciones
Roller-coaster
Parque de atracciones, Madrid
The Atracciones Parque opens for the main season between 24th June - September 8th and is open daily except for some marked days (available on the web). If you book online at least 7 days before, you can buy tickets for €19,90. To get there by metro you have to take line 10 (Batan station) that will leave you only 50 meters from the entrance.
If you love nature and animals, I recommend a visit to Madrid's Zoo-Aquarium, located in Casa del Campo, Madrid’s largest park. The zoo is famous for the care of wild animals such as asian elephants, european Bison, or dolphins mandrels. Don't miss the wildest and endearing animals! (Tickets from €18,90, open daily, metro stop “Casa del Campo”).

Passion for football in Madrid

The clásico Real Madrid - Barcelona
A few days ago was played the exciting “Clasico” Real Madrid-Barcelona, at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. I'm sure you'll definitely enjoy a stadium tour any day of the week, during which you may discover the world’s richest club’s secrets. How to reach the stadium? It's easy. You only have to take the metro line 10 and get off at the "Santiago Bernabéu" station, which is in front of the stadium. The entrance costs 13€ but it's worth it!

Crazy spring in Madrid

Madrid is famous worldwide for its unique nightlife and it's said that Madrid is the European capital of the night.

The most suggestive clubs, the liveliest bars, trendy nightclubs, classic locals… I recommend spending one night at Kapital or Pacha, the most famous and international clubs in Madrid, or if you want something more typically Spanish, you should visit Independence, Joy or Moondance. Here you’ll find everything you’re looking for because in Madrid is impossible to get bored!
