1. Celebrate Nochevieja in traditional Madrilenian style in front of the clock in Puerta del Sol. Thousands of people head to this iconic square and eat a grape every time midnight strikes. Imagine over 10.000 people simultaneously eating grapes: definitely worth a visit! The party atmosphere starts around 18.00 with market, fireworks, concerts and a lot more fun.
2. Option number two is for those who are in for a quieter more romantic experience at the Gala de Fin de Año in Casino de Aranjuez. Dinner, New Year’s Eve Party, the lucky grapes, open bar, orchestra and many surprises. There’s no way you won’t enjoy it!
3. Option 3 is at one of Madrid’s most iconic buildings: Círculo de Bellas Artes. Live music makes this one of the hottest venues to party all night. The theme this year is “Back to the Future”.
Having eaten their 12 grapes in Puerta del Sol everyone floods into one of the many clubs in central Madrid. Clubs such as Joy and Moma 56 have fantastic New Year’s Eve parties!
Finally, having danced the night (and most of the morning away) we recommend a warming breakfast of Chocolate con Churros. Is there a better place to welcome the New Year than in Madrid?
