Madrid's amazing rooftop bars!

Whatever the weather, Madrid’s vast selection of rooftop bars provides the perfect opportunity to meet with your friends and enjoy the spectacular views of this beautiful city. Here we have rounded up some of our favourites to share with you!

1. Círculo de Bellas Artes (Tartan roof) 



Located on one of Madrid’s biggest streets, Calle Alcalá, The Tartan Roof provides its visitors with a stunning 360 degree view of the city, including an iconic view of Gran Vía, Metropolis building and El Ayuntamiento. Serving a range of drinks varying from beer to fancy cocktails, all at reasonable prices, as well as an extensive food menu (including tapas, bigger plates and desserts), what more could you ask for?!

2. Gourmet Gran Vía 



Gourmet Gran Vía is located on the 9th floor of Corte Inglés in Plaza de Callao and prides itself in having a great deal of variety in terms of the food and drink it serves, from traditional Mexican food to Italian pizzas. It’s a great place to go up and admire the sunset on Gran Vía stretching down to Plaza de España from either the indoor or outdoor terrace whilst sipping on a caña.

3. Terraza Cibeles 



The remarkable Ayuntamiento building not only offers a wonderful exterior, but on the 6th floor it offers an exclusive yet relaxed rooftop terrace environment where you can enjoy sundowners and views of the famous Cibeles fountain and Gran Vía from its terrace. A range of hot, cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are served along with various tapas options for sharing. With the option of just turning up or reserving seating with tables, it’s definitely a place to visit whatever the occasion!

4. Hotel ME Reina Victoria rooftop bar 


This stylish bar is situated on the rooftop of the Reina Victoria hotel in Plaza de Santa Ana. It has a full food and drinks menu and is a great place to go at night for a brilliant view of Plaza de Santa Ana as well as extensive view of the centre of Madrid. It has an exclusive and stylish, yet casual; feel to it with friendly staff and table service.

5. El Viajero 



In one of Madrid’s best known areas for food and drink, La Latina’s El Viajero rooftop terrace is a great place to enjoy the hustle and bustle of La Latina’s endless bars with some food and drinks. It adopts a slightly more traditional Madrileño style with its casual atmosphere and is a great spot even in winter, with overhead heaters surrounding the terrace.
